MAKZ Talent (“MAKZ”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in the United Kingdom. We recruit specialists to work on AI training and evaluation data on behalf of our clients. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide when you apply through this site.

When you apply for a role, we collect the information you give us on the form:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your country and city of residence
• Your highest qualification, field of study, institution and year awarded
• Your years of relevant experience and, optionally, your current job title and LinkedIn profile
• Your CV and anything you choose to tell us in the free-text field
• The role you applied for and, where present, the campaign parameters in the link you followed
• A record of your consent and the date and time you gave it

We use your data solely to assess your application, to contact you about it, and to put suitable candidates forward to prospective employers for this and similar roles.

Our lawful basis for processing your data is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the application form. Providing this data is voluntary, but we cannot process your application without it.

We share shortlisted candidates’ details and CVs with the prospective employers (our clients) who are hiring for the relevant role. Some of these clients are located outside the UK, including in the United States.

Where we transfer your data internationally, we rely on your explicit consent for that transfer and, where appropriate, on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We also use trusted service providers (for example, Google Workspace) to store applications securely on our behalf.

We retain your application data for 24 months from the date you apply, so that we can consider you for similar roles. After that period we delete it, unless you have joined an active hiring process that requires us to keep it longer, or you ask us to delete it sooner.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Erase your data (“the right to be forgotten”)
• Withdraw your consent at any time, which will stop any further processing
• Object to or restrict our processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
